Who says athletes cannot look good and play rough on the court or tracks at the same time? No matter what sports you play in or how active you get, you can still wear make-up and use hair and skin care products.

If you are one of those who say athletes do not need cosmetics and that they should just concentrate on training, then you are highly mistaken. When training, a player can get exposed to various elements. Constant exposure to the sun or warm air can dry the skin, which may lead to several skin problems. Constant activity, sweating, and contact with sports equipment and other athletes can lead to the proliferation of germs in the body which produce conditions like athlete's foot. Sports can also easily dehydrate the body leading to lacklustre skin and drier hair. An athlete tends to shower multiple times a day as well. The use of harsh chemical-filled shampoos and soaps can lead to skin irritations and hair damage. As you can see, athletes need to use proper hair and skin care products probably more than anyone.

For athletes to look their best, it is important to moisturise often. If training or playing under the sun constantly, use skin care products with SPF protection. As for make-up, use waterproof ones. Use make-up that contain natural and organic ingredients as well. To avoid sports-related problems like athlete's foot, ringworm, or impetigo- use products that offer protection from bacteria. Body care products that contain Benzalkonium Chloride and/or Allantoin are perfect for killing those germs you inadvertently get. Naturally, include in your search for the right skin and hair care products those that contain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Looking perfect while becoming the best athlete you can be is not at all impossible.
